Marrakech

night life

sunny 26 °C

Hello class

We have made it to Marrakech and we have made it through the medina and got into the center and I think we are lucky that we have not been hit by a motorcycle, and on top of that we were been hassled too much and when we got to the center it got worse. After looking for 15min for food we decided to go to an okay stall with not so okay food. when we back to our riad we all slept like logs.

Morning

I woke up tired and grumpy, the worst thing is that I was going on a bus trip and the rumble of the bus will not let me sleep. when we got to Essaouira I saw a lot of kite surfers and a few kids playing soccer on the beach. we walked from the bus station to our hotel and stayed there for a while and then we made our way over to the docks.

THE DOCKS

Watch out for this

Watch out for this

At the docks I saw a lot of sea gulls and the gulls are massive, about the size of my chest. As usual the docks smell of fish, but these are not usual rotten fish, these ones are fresh out of the sea this morning. There were a lot of people building boats.

After the docks, we started to wander through the town and went to get a crepe. My crepe was Nutella and banana, and it was very good.

After wandering through the town we met back up on the beach, and we watched the kite surfers. Later we went out for dinner and it was very very nice.

it was getting very late, back to the riad and slept like logs.

We woke up at 10am and I was still tired and grumpy for two minutes. Soon after breakfast, we went to a motorbike mechanic to pump up our footy, but it popped!

A Sad Day

A Sad Day

So we went back to the hotel with a dead football, put it back and went and bought a soccer ball. We took it to the beach and played with it, and I kicked in the water a few times and Dad went and got it.

Later in the day I had a hammam (find it on Wikipedia). To start you lie in a hot, humid tiled room for a long time, and halfway through, you get really hot (and nice) water poured on you. Then you wait in the steam again, then you are soaped down. And some more waiting in the steam. Then you go up the front of the room and shampoo yourself, then have a rinse.

Then we had dinner and then bed.

Goodbye from Gaelan
