Portugal

After Santiago de Compostela we went down into Portugal and all its monuments. Once we found our hotel we walked up a big hill to find dinner and walked down to bed.
After we had a lot of info on things and monuments and attractions we went down to the park and the river and we found SEGWAYS!!! and a 12 year old age limit but we didn't care so I got a ride on one and it was fun, you lean forwards you go forwards and vice versa and the handel bar is the same. terning the segway

after my fun on the Segway we walked across a brige and up to a pool and then we went home, got changed and back to the pool we went and spent 4hours in there and then found dinner. The next day we packed our luggage and got to Lisbern and dumped our stuff at a hotel then walked to the funicular which took us up hill to Barrio Alto and when we got there we found our dinner and the champions league final (Soccer final), bayern Munich vs Inter Milan and Inter, won.an up hill train

the next day we got to our next acommodation and it had a pool which we liked so after we dumped our stuff I got in the pool while mum and dad went shopingand then they came in and then mum got out and cooked dinner for us while we got our pj's on.

the next day we went to the beach on a very slow train and when we got there it was cold so I went in for a minute and then made a sand castle and lost the fight against water then we left to our house and then we looked and found our favourite dinner of the trip.

the next morning after packing the car me and dad kicked the ball around and killed a few minutes and then we started our journey back to Spain.

Last day of term

See you soon!!!!

Hi Gaelan
Have you been watching the World Cup? A lot of us have been watching Australia's games, it's sad that they missed out on goal difference. Did you hear the big news? Julia Gillard is the Prime Minister!
Today is Evie's last day with us, she is leaving to go to England next week. Maybe you will see her in the air!! We will miss her lots. It is also Jamil's birthday today and Celeste's birthday tomorrow.
Thanks for your photos and messages. Sorry it's been such a long time since we wrote, we have had internet problems most mornings. We also got your post card, which was really cool.
What were the chocolate fish? Are they chocolate fish? Were they real fish covered in chocolate? What did they taste like?
We really look forward to seeing you at the start of next term!

Siguenza and Bilbao

semi-overcast 23 °C

Hello

Today we drove up to our first parador in Siguenza and it was weird of them to put a seal on just about everything and even the toilet had a seal on it and it was a good parador for the price and even better it was an old medieval castle. In the town it all was down it was all very steep and after we cathedrel it was raining and we had a hot chocolate and then some nice tapas.

The next day we set of again on our road trip and it was a big day for me, most of the trip I felt sick and it was not good. Later on in the day we got to our Oliete parador and once again we had a look around and I found a really funny shirt done by Kukuxumusu made in Pamplona and after that we had a parador dinner that is massive and the next day we had a buffet breakfast and later we were off. a little in the freeway we came off at Pamplona and we had a nice time sprinting around trying to find a info office and it turned out that there were two Kukuxumusu shops and too our surprise we found one and we bought a tee shirt and mine is awesome, anyway after that we drove to bilbao and the Guggenheim museum.

At the museum we saw a lot of interesting things and for me the audio guide made it worth it.
We went to the old town and I got some chocolate fish and dad got a tee shirt.

Hey Gaelan

What are you doing now?

Hi Gaelan,
We liked looking at your pictures, they bath one was funny! Cool gown. Indi's dog Pip came to visit again today. He is now trained, he can sit and drop and he is a lot bigger. And he almost peed on Millie. Did you figure out the riddle?
Richmond lost to Essendon and Geelong beat Collingwood on the weekend. So Richmond are at the bottom of the ladder and Geelong is at the top.
Where are you now?

Spain, here we come

15 °C

Hello class

One last night at our riad in Marrakech, and we had a lovely dinner, I thought it was the best food in Morocco.

We had a early start to get to our airport, only to find out that our flight had been delayed by two hours due to VOLCANIC ASH!!!

We arrived in Madrid and caught the train to our flat. We had a walk around and had tapas and raciones, and the went home to bed.
The next day we had a walking tour from the Playa Major, around the old town ending up at the old palace. I thought the walking tour was okay but the guide was hard to understand.

Dad took me to Bernabau stadium the home of REAL MADRID!! I got to see the pitch and I went into the soccer store.

After that we did our washing, then with our bags full of clothes went to Madrid market and I had tapas and a nice chocolate cake.

We got up early and went to the Prado Museum, I liked the audio guide because it had interesting info on it. I didn't like that it took so much time to go around and I got quite bored. I liked some of the mythological paintings. When we went to Reine Sophia museum Dad was very disappointed because it was closed (Mondays), so we went to a Science museum which was good, but small and everything was in Spanish only
.

We went to see Iron Man 2, in english, and I enjoyed it a lot, though I think that they cut a few parts out because they couldn't do the sub-title translation fast enough!

Next day we collected our car from Madrid and started driving north,

bye for now, Gaelan.
